You Ask, We’ll Answer…
Back in February we hosted a live Q&A session. We answered a lot of questions from authors just like you, and now we’re gearing up to do it again.
Here’s the scoop:
When: Tuesday, July 8th at 2pm central
The live event will take place Tuesday, July 8th at 2pm central time, but even if you can’t make it live, we’ll make the replay available online so you can watch at your earliest convenience.
Where: Your Computer
This event will be hosted with a Google Hangout on Air so you can attend from wherever you are. We’ll also have the replay available on our blog for those who can’t make it live. Click here to RSVP on Google +.
Cost: FREE
Both the live event and the replay will be available at no cost to you.
What: Your Questions
The focus of this Q&A will be on launching a new book, but you can submit any question you have on writing, publishing, and marketing books. We’ll answer as many as we can. This session will be driven by you and your questions. No pitch from us, just open, honest answers to help you reach for success.
What Do You Want To Know?
Please submit your questions in the comments below. We’ll also take questions during the live event, but submitting them in advance will help us plan better and give you a better chance of getting your question answered. We can’t promise to answer every question, but all questions are welcome and encouraged.

I would like to start my own publishing company- to publish my work and eventually, works of others. I registered my trade name to incorporate later and I intend to self publish through Create Space via Amazon using my own ISBN to save on costs. Any tips you can give me?

I struggle trying to advertise on Amazon & Create Space.
I find their system is complicated (for me) & I haven’t found the formula yet to make the advertising do anything more than break even. So have concentrated on getting my book, SNAKEBIT: We’re all snakebit, into a few Christian book stores with a smidge of success. But I know I need more advertising or better positioning–or something. Appreciate your help.

I understand if you decide to write a book and publish to kindle, a well designed book cover is important.
My question. Where does one go to get a well designed cover. I also notice Shelly and Heather you’re book covers are superb. How or where do you guys go to get such great book covers?.

Thanks for offering such a worthwhile activity. I have been invited to attend my first Book Signing event as an author. The event is part of an alumni reunion gathering and it will be held for roughly 3 hours during brunch time. The event typically attracts a few hundred alumni. Ideally, what should I bring to the Book Signing? Thanks again.

I’d like to know more about distribution companies. I’ve never heard of someone doing well with them so is is worth trying to get one to work on your behalf?
